This poem, unlike most of my previous ones, lacks a structure or definite flow – I have merely summarized a few thoughts had piled up in my head over past few months. While I love to travel and explore, I guess I have over-done it, also, I have neglected my other passions in the zeal to travel. I came across several people who, unknowingly but thankfully, reminded me of the tracks that I have lost and the ones that I need to find/build !
I recently visited a peaceful island and lay idle for some time, this gave me the much needed energy and motivation to pen down my thoughts …

I love to wander and explore,
But the weariness I shouldn’t neglect,
Even a backpacker with plans galore,
Should calm down and reflect
I saw a couple building a new house,
They do it in their time and own way,
By their skills and work their spirits rouse,
Not by a vacation on some land far away
At times – why not just pick a pen and write,
Or to the countryside take a ride,
Skip planning and touring to feel all right,
Just with simple joys take Life in stride
The blue sea the ecstatics oar,
While watching those boats I bask in the sun,
As the water splashes gently on the shore,
By the pleasant breeze the sweat is outdone
In this Universe that’s boundless,
Man is so puny, yet, so restless,
His needs seem to be endless,
Can’t he be a bit selfless ?
Set your goals, then run & row,
But when you pant and feel wheezy,
Or you feel lost and low,
Relax and just Take it Easy …
