The following accounts are well-known among the Indian masses:
1. Hanuman’s mother Anjana/Anjani(Hindi: अंजना/अंजनी) was reincarnation of Punjikastala, a cursed apsara(Hindi: अप्सरा).
2. Hanuman was an incarnation of Rudra (Hindi: रुद्र).
Some more facts, probably, lesser-known among the masses:
1. Anjani’s father was a Vanar king named Kunjar(Hindi: कुंजर).
2. Kesari (Hindi: केसरी) was a/the general in Sugreev’s army. This explains Hanuman’s loyalty to Sugreev(Hindi: सुग्रीव).
3. Hanuman was the eldest of Kesari’s 5 sons. So, the list goes as Hanuman, Matiman, Srutiman, Ketuman and Dhritiman.
4. Except Hanuman, all of Kesari’s sons are known to have married, also had sons who carried on Kesari’s legacy.
Several accounts of Hanuman’s birth exist, I am reproducing the one I recently learned.
1. Kesari was an able and brave general. He used to wander in search of blissful and serene places. One day, he witnessed a crazy elephant(in another but similar account, it was a demon) mauling and chasing Rishis(probably, in Gokarna (Hindi: गोकर्ण )). He slayed that elephant(demon?). The Rishis were eager to bless Kesari and the latter asked for a mighty, undefeatable son like Rudra.
2. While Anjana was unwinding in an idyllic place named Purnasvana, Vayu(Hindi: वायु) made advances to her. Vayu said that he is doing so on the orders of Rudra. Hanuman was born(Chaitra Pournima, Chitra Nakshatra) out of their union.
Have you come across any findings about vanar sena , like were they human beings or monkey species ? Also any references to whats the understanding of Devas ? Are they human beings or what are they ? Like how was vayu dev able to have a child with Anjani and also later with Kunti.

Vanaras were definitely humans, and NOT monkeys like propagated in the popular culture. While I haven’t read all the ancient texts, it seems logical because:
1. Consider 5 people sitting together – Indian, Australian, Mexican, Russian and Japanese. Well, anyone writing about them will never say ‘5 humans were sitting together and chatting’. It is implied that these 5 nationalities apply to humans. Just because something isn’t explicitly mentioned doesn’t mean it’s otherwise.
2. Vanaras had all working systems like humans – kingdoms, courts, armies, coronations, baby showers and so on. A monkey or a bear cannot converse with humans, can’t act as diplomats and advisors. The entire blame goes to the humans(Indians and Western linguists who idiotically translated spoken Sanskrit verses to something absurd).
3. There are different accounts of Vayu’s fatherhood but at least two of them sound logical – he either passed on a medicine to Anjani or naturally impregnated her.
4. My guess about Devas is same as point 1(humans residing in the different ‘lokas’ and following different professions). They were humans who had far more talents than ordinary humans.
