Panorama of the Waterloo battle.

A hastily shot 360° view of the panorama at the Waterloo museum. Commissioned in 1912, the painting is 110 metre long, an 12 metres high(so I was at the height of the first floor of a building). A French Navy’s painter named Louis Dumoulin worked with three French military painters named Robiquet, Malespina, and Desvarreux. The building and the painting were protected as historical monuments in 1998. In 2008 the Belgian government proposed that the panorama should be included within a UNESCO World Heritage Site listing. The Waterloo Panorama is one of few original panoramas that have survived and which are still exhibited in their original location. Military enthusiasts, and buffs can easily invest a week just to analyse the data pertaining to the battle. I wish I had more time to study at least one section of this huge painting.

The painting depicts the state of the battle around 1800 hours on June 18, 1815.
