A buoggi was used in the autumn and spring camp when the equipment used in the winter and summer seasons was shifted.

Here the equipment needed for milking the reindeer and for work during the summer was kept. Everything belonging to the winter season such as winter clothing and reindeer harnesses were stored here.
Also the autumn supply of flour, coffee and sugar was stored in the buoggi. Formal wear used for visits to markets and the church were kept here for later use.
The buoggi was made out of birch poles, birch bark and turf. The frame was open and airy and the stand’s legs were smooth to prevent rats from climbing up.
