Heaven I hold

A trillion+ addition in the verses about rains…

 A bicycle and a wet road,
Cool breeze on it’s flow;
As happy as a toad,
here begins the monsoon show;

Verdant mountains in my sight,
gushing streams making their way;
lush green makes the heart light,
worries seem to be at bay !

Swaying crops and a drenched farmer,
now that’s my nation’s wealth;
Now ponder!why the globe is warmer?
nature is in bad health;

Solace-craving beaches get their share,
children turn justified-rebels;
Mother’s glare ? They don’t care;
school is off and they are in babels;

Stomach gives a hunger call,
I say”I obey thee”;
I halt at a drowsy stall,
samosa,bhaji,vada and tea !

Pedalling through pools and mud,
getting dirty merrily;
Brakes have now turned dud,
Now gotta ride shrewdly;

I reach home enchanted by the spree,
Mom greets me with a lovable scold;
Then hands me a towel and a cup of tea,
Isn’t that a piece of heaven I hold?
